Overnight stays of non-resident tourists almost on pre-pandemic levels in February 2023

According to Statistics Finland's preliminary data, the number of nights spent by tourists was 25 per cent higher in February 2023 than one year earlier. A total of 1.20 million overnight stays were recorded for resident tourists, which is 17 per cent more than in February 2022. For non-resident tourists, 0.56 million overnight stays were recorded, which is 46 per cent more than one year earlier. The number of nights spent by foreigners was eight per cent lower than in February 2020 before the pandemic.
