Overnight stays at accommodation establishments in Uusimaa increased by one fifth from the previous year in March 2023

According to Statistics Finland's preliminary data, the number of nights spent by tourists at accommodation establishments was seven per cent higher in March 2023 than one year earlier. A total of 1.41 million overnight stays were recorded for resident tourists, which is two per cent more than in March 2022. For non-resident tourists, 0.48 million overnight stays were recorded, which is 27 per cent more than one year earlier. The number of nights spent by non-resident tourists was 15 per cent lower than in March 2019 before the pandemic.
