release | Statistics on offences and coercive measures 2023, 2nd quarterAccording to Statistics Finland's preliminary data, a total of 233,000 offences against the Criminal Code were recorded by the police, customs and border guard during January to June 2023. This is 4.5 per cent more than one year earlier. A total of 611 rapes as defined in the new legislation on sexual offences were recorded.
