Expenditure on social protection and education grew in 2022

According to Statistics Finland's data, consolidated total general government expenditure was 53.3 per cent relative to gross domestic product in 2022. Of expenditure items, social protection and education grew most from the previous year. However, the share of government expenditure of gross domestic product decreased by 2.4 percentage points, because gross domestic product grew more than expenditure.
