Building costs went down by 0.4 per cent in August 2024 year-on-year

According to Statistics Finland, building costs decreased by 0.4 per cent in August 2024 from one year back. Among materials, the biggest increases in the year were recorded in timber structures (5.1%). Costs decreased most in precast concrete units (-6.5%) and steel structures (-5.9%).
