Vessels in the regular merchant fleet numbered 716 in June 2024

According to Statistics Finland's preliminary data, the size of Finland's regular merchant fleet was 716 vessels in June 2024. Small vessels included 280 vessels and barges and other engineless vessels 296 vessels. The total size of the Finnish merchant fleet was 1,292 vessels with gross tonnage of 2,001,119. In June, the number of vessels in the regular merchant fleet decreased by three compared to May.

  • Compared to the situation at the turn of the year, the number of vessels in the regular merchant fleet had increased by 34 and the number of vessels in the entire combined merchant fleet by 33 by the end of June 2024.

  • Ferries have been entered in the register of ships as a result of the legislative amendment.
