Output of the national economy grew in December 2023

According to Statistics Finland, output adjusted for working days decreased in December 2023 by 0.6 per cent from one year ago. Seasonally adjusted output grew by 0.4 per cent in December from the month before. According to revised data, working day adjusted output grew in November 2023 by 0.8 per cent (previously -0.7 %) from November last year.

In December 2023, output adjusted for working days grew by 0.4 per cent from November.
Seasonally adjusted GDP is estimated to have decreased by around 0.4 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2023 from the previous quarter.
The number of employed persons is estimated to have grown by 0.5 per cent from the previous quarter.
The number of hours worked is estimated to have increased by 0.3 per cent from the quarter before.
