A total of 6,283 new passenger cars were registered in December 2024

According to Statistics Finland, a total of 6,283 new passenger cars were registered in December 2024, which was 8 per cent more than in December 2023. In all, 10,449 new vehicles were registered in December. First registrations increased by 5 per cent from December 2023.

  • In 2024, a total of 74,072 new passenger cars were registered, which was 15 per cent fewer than in 2023.
  • Of first-time registered passenger cars in December 2024, 37 per cent were fully electric. The number of their registrations was 2,329, or 11 per cent higher than in December 2023.
  • Used imported passenger cars numbered 3,286 in December, which was 16 per cent more than in December 2023.
