Building costs increased by 0.5 per cent in April 2025 year-on-year

According to Statistics Finland, building costs increased by 0.5 per cent in April 2025 compared to the previous year's corresponding period. Among materials, the biggest cost increases in the year were recorded in timber structures (3.6%) and in heat insulation (2.3%). Costs decreased most in the year in construction site surface structures (-2.3%) and in steel structures (-2.3%).
