According to Statistics Finland's preliminary data, Finland's population was 5,640,437 at the end of March 2025. During January–March Finland's population increased by 4,466 persons. The reason for the population increase was migration gain from abroad: the number of immigrants was 7,166 higher than that of emigrants. The number of births was 4,271 lower than that of deaths.
