According to Statistics Finland, a total of 6,173 new passenger cars were registered in March 2025, which was 5 per cent fewer than one year earlier. In all, 10,903 new vehicles were registered in March. First registrations decreased by one per cent from the corresponding month of the previous year.

  • In January to March period of 2025, a total of 16,704 new passenger cars were registered, which was 9 per cent fewer than one year earlier.
  • Of first-time registered passenger cars in March 2025, 39 per cent were fully electric. The number of their registrations was 2,434, or 31 per cent higher than one year earlier.
  • Used imported passenger cars numbered 3,724, which was 17 per cent more than one year earlier.
