Six per cent of students discontinued education in the academic year 2022/2023

According to Statistics Finland, 6.0 per cent of students attending education leading to a qualification or degree discontinued their studies and did not resume education leading to a qualification or degree in the academic year 2022/2023. In general upper secondary education aimed at young people the discontinuation percentage was 2.9, in initial vocational education it was 9.8, in university of applied sciences education (university of applied sciences degrees) 8.3 and in university education (Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees) 5.4.
