Industrial output grew in January 2025 both month-on-month and year-on-year
Seasonally adjusted industrial output (TOL BCD) grew by 1.1 per cent in January from the month before. According to Statistics Finland, industrial output adjusted for working days went up by 0.5 per cent compared to one year ago.

Output grew in January in nearly all main industries compared to the previous month
Adjusted for working days, industrial output (C) grew by 1.9 per cent in January 2025 from one year earlier. Output grew by 1.1 per cent from the previous month.
Among the main industries examined in the chart, industrial output grew most in the forest industry, by 6.4 per cent from the month before. Output in the chemical industry was 4.0 per cent higher than in December 2024. Compared to the previous month, output decreased only in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, by 5.3 per cent, and in the metal industry, by 0.7 per cent.
