Industrial output grew in March 2025 both month-on-month and year-on-year
Seasonally adjusted industrial output (TOL BCD) grew by 3.6 per cent in March from the month before. According to Statistics Finland, industrial output adjusted for working days went up by 7.8 per cent compared to one year ago.

Output increased in several main industries in March compared to the previous month
Adjusted for working days, industrial output (C) grew by 8.8 per cent in March 2025 from one year earlier. The output figures of one year ago were lower than usual due to the political industrial actions in March 2024.
Seasonally adjusted industrial output (C) grew by 4.3 per cent from the previous month.
Among the main industries examined in the figure, industrial output grew most in March in the electrical and electronics industry, by 13.5 per cent from the month before. Output in the metal industry was 6.5 per cent higher than in February and in the chemical industry output grew by 6.2 per cent. The decline in output was strongest in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, where output was 9.4 per cent lower than in February. Output decreased by 6.9 per cent in mining and quarrying and by 1.8 per cent in the food industry from the month before.
