Industrial output grew in October 2025 both month-on-month and year-on-year

EnterprisesSeasonally adjusted industrial output (TOL BCD) grew by 2.4 per cent in October from the month before. According to Statistics Finland, industrial output adjusted for working days went up by 2.3 per cent compared to October 2024.

Adjusted for working days, output in manufacturing (C) grew by 2.3 per cent in October 2025 from one year earlier. Seasonally adjusted output in manufacturing (C) grew by 1.6 per cent from the previous month.
In October, industrial output grew from the previous month in nearly all main industries examined in the figure. Output grew most in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, by 5.9 per cent, and in the electrical and electronics industry, by 5.2 per cent from the month before. Output in the metal industry was 4.4 per cent higher than in September. Growth from the previous month was also recorded in the forest industry (3.2%) and in the food industry (0.4%).
In other main industries, output was lower than in the previous month. Output decreased by 6.8 per cent in mining and quarrying and by 2.5 per cent in the chemical industry compared to September.
