Value of renovation projects carried out by construction enterprises was EUR 10.4 billion in 2024
release | Renovation building 2024According to Statistics Finland, the value of building projects was EUR 21.6 billion in construction enterprises with at least five employees in 2024. Of the projects, EUR 10.4 billion were directed at renovation building and EUR 11.2 billion at newbuilding. From 2023, the value of renovation building rose by 0.6 per cent and the value of newbuilding fell by 9.7 per cent.

- The total value of projects made by construction enterprises was EUR 21.6 billion in 2024, which was 5.0 per cent lower than in the year before.
- In building construction, the value of projects decreased by 8.9 per cent and in specialised construction activities by 0.2 per cent compared to 2023.
- The value of newbuilding fell in building construction by around 15 per cent from the previous year.
- Renovation building accounted for 48 per cent of the value of building projects and newbuilding for 52 per cent.
