Gross domestic product decreased by 0.3 per cent in the third quarter of 2025

According to Statistics Finland, the volume of Finland's gross domestic product decreased in July to September 2025 by 0.3 per cent from the previous quarter. GDP adjusted for working days declined by 0.6 per cent compared to the third quarter of 2024. According to preliminary data compiled by Eurostat, GDP in the EU area grew by 0.3 per cent in July to September 2025 from the previous quarter.

  • In July to September 2025, the volume of exports increased by 2.0 per cent from the previous quarter. The volume of imports grew 2.1 per cent.
  • Private consumption grew by 0.2 per cent in July to September 2025 from the level of April to June.
  • Government consumption expenditure decreased by 0.2 per cent in the third quarter of 2025 from the level of the previous quarter.
  • Private investments grew by 0.6 per cent in the third quarter of 2025 from the previous quarter. Public investments decreased by 4.0 per cent.
