Read more about the changeAccording to Statistics Finland, the income share of households' net housing costs was 17.4 per cent, on average, in 2023. The median figure was 1.3 percentage points higher than in 2022. Housing costs burdened 5.2 per cent of persons belonging to private households in 2023. This corresponds to around 287,000 persons. The number was approximately the same as in 2021 and 2022.

- The income share of households' net housing costs was, on average, 17.4 per cent in 2023, having been 16.1 per cent in the year before. The income share grew for households whose form of tenure was an owner-occupied dwelling with a housing loan.
