Number of restraining orders grew by 25 per cent in 2024
According to Statistics Finland's data, the police, customs and border guard used coercive measures 181,500 times in 2024. This is 2.4 per cent lower than one year earlier. The number of apprehensions was 20,400, which is 3.1 per cent lower than in the year before. The number of restraining orders was 1,400. Of apprehended persons, 774 were aged 15 to 17.
