A quarter of direct investments in Finland came from Sweden in 2024

According to Statistics Finland, the stock of inward FDI was EUR 83.5 billion at the end of 2024, of which Sweden accounted for a quarter, EUR 20.7 billion. The stock of outward FDI was EUR 139.9 billion, of which Sweden also covered one quarter, EUR 35.5 billion. Since 2013, Sweden has clearly been the most important counterparty country for Finland in the statistics on direct investments.
