Completion rate of university of applied sciences degrees weakened, that of master’s degrees improved in 2024

According to Statistics Finland, the completion rate of university of applied sciences degrees in the target time decreased in 2024 by four percentage points compared to the previous year. The completion rate of vocational education and training and of higher university degrees improved by one percentage point. Within the target time, 78 per cent completed general upper secondary education, 57 per cent vocational education and training, 54 per cent a university of applied sciences degree, and 38 per cent a master’s degree.
