Building cost index 2025, December

Building costs increased by 1.6 per cent in December 2025 year-on-year

According to Statistics Finland, building costs increased by 1.6 per cent in December 2025 compared to the previous year's corresponding period. Among materials, the biggest cost increases in the year were recorded in timber structures (10.0%) and in roofing materials (2.6%). Costs decreased most in the year in construction site surface structures (-4.5%) and in steel structures (-2.2%).
