Building cost index 2026, February

Building costs increased by 1.0 per cent in February 2026 year-on-year

According to Statistics Finland, building costs increased by 1.0 per cent in February 2026 compared to the previous year's corresponding period. Among materials, the biggest cost increases in the year were recorded in timber structures (6.4%) and in heat, water and sewer supplies (2.9%). Costs decreased most in the year in construction site surface structures (-3.8%) and in heat insulation (-3.8%).
