A total of 5,705 new passenger cars were registered in April 2026
releaseAccording to Statistics Finland, a total of 5,705 new passenger cars were registered in April 2026, which was 9 per cent fewer than one year earlier. In all, 11,388 new vehicles were registered in April. First registrations decreased by 2 per cent from the corresponding month of the previous year.

- In January to April period of 2026, a total of 22,909 new passenger cars were registered, which was about as much as one year earlier.
- Of first-time registered passenger cars in April 2026, 49 per cent were fully electric. The number of their registrations was 2,783, or 21 per cent higher than one year earlier.
- In all, 2,072 new petrol-fuelled passenger cars were registered in April, which was 13 per cent fewer than one year earlier.
