Output of the national economy grew in March 2026 from the previous year’s March
releaseAccording to Statistics Finland, output adjusted for working days grew by 1.3 per cent in March 2026 from the previous year’s March. Seasonally adjusted output fell by 0.7 per cent in March from the month before. According to revised data, working day adjusted output grew in February 2026 by 2.2 per cent (previously +0.1%) from February last year.

Seasonally adjusted GDP is estimated to have grown by 0.9 per cent in January to March 2026 from the previous quarter. According to the series adjusted for working days, GDP grew by 1.3 per cent from the first quarter of 2025. It is estimated that the number of the employed adjusted for working days has increased by 0.1 per cent from one year ago. The number of hours worked is estimated to have fallen by 0.1 per cent from the corresponding quarter of the year before.
The data are based on preliminary data of the Trend Indicator of Output. The next quarterly national accounts with revised data will be published on 29 May 2026.
