Output of the national economy grew in June 2026

According to Statistics Finland, output adjusted for working days grew by 1.8 per cent in June 2026 from June one year before. Seasonally adjusted output in June grew by 0.3 per cent from the month before. According to revised data, working day adjusted output grew in May by 2.7 per cent (previously 2.8 %) from May one year before.

GDP grew in the second quarter of 2026 according to preliminary data

Seasonally adjusted GDP is estimated to have grown in April to June 2026 by 0.9 per cent from the previous quarter. According to the series adjusted for working days, GDP was 2.5 per cent higher than in the corresponding quarter of the year before. It is estimated that the number of employed persons adjusted for working days decreased by 1.1 per cent from one year ago. The number of hours worked is estimated to have decreased by 1.4 per cent from the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

The data are based on preliminary data of the Trend Indicator of Output. The next quarterly national accounts with revised data will be published on 28 August 2026.
