Wage and salary earners' nominal earnings level rose by 3.6 per cent in January to March 2026 from one year ago

According to Statistics Finland's preliminary data, the index of wage and salary earnings, which measures the growth in the nominal earnings of full-time wage and salary earners, rose by 3.6 per cent in January to March 2026 when compared with the corresponding period in the previous year. Over the same period, the real earnings level of wage and salary earners rose by 3.0 per cent because the rise in the earnings level was faster than the rise in consumer prices.
