Industrial output grew in February 2026 both month-on-month and year-on-year

Industrial output grew in nearly all examined main industries in February from the previous month

Adjusted for working days, output in manufacturing (C) grew by 5.8 per cent in February 2026 from one year earlier. Seasonally adjusted output in manufacturing (C) grew by 3.2 per cent from the month before.

Compared to one year ago, industrial output grew in February in nearly all main industries examined in the figure. The growth was strongest in the chemical industry, where output increased by 10.3 per cent from the month before. Output went up by 4.9 per cent in the electrical and electronics industry, by 4.5 per cent in the metal industry and by 1.6 per cent in the forest industry compared to January. Output also grew slightly in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, by 0.7 per cent from the month before. ⁠

Industrial output fell in February only in two main industries. Output decreased by 8.9 per cent in mining and quarrying and by 0.1 per cent in the food industry from the month before.
