Industrial output grew in March 2026 both month-on-month and year-on-year
releaseSeasonally adjusted industrial output (TOL BCD) grew by 2.8 per cent in March from the month before. According to Statistics Finland, industrial output adjusted for working days went up by 7.3 per cent compared to March 2025.

Adjusted for working days, output in manufacturing (C) grew by 5.9 per cent in March 2026 from one year earlier. Seasonally adjusted output in manufacturing (C) grew by 1.6 per cent from the month before.
In March, industrial output grew from the previous month in nearly all main industries examined in the figure. The growth was strongest in mining and quarrying (13.4%) and in the chemical industry (11.3%). In the forest industry, output grew by 6.3 per cent, in the food industry by 1.6 per cent and in the electrical and electronics industry by 1.0 per cent compared to February. Output also grew slightly in the metal industry, by 0.5 per cent from the month before.
Industrial output fell in March only in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, where output was 2.8 per cent lower than in February.
