Industrial output decreased in July 2026 month-on-month but increased year-on-year
releaseSeasonally adjusted industrial output (TOL BCD) decreased by 1.0 per cent in July from the month before. According to Statistics Finland, industrial output adjusted for working days went up by 4.5 per cent compared to July 2025.

Industrial output decreased from the month before in nearly all main industries in July
Adjusted for working days, output in manufacturing (C) was 5.3 per cent higher in July 2026 compared to one year before. Seasonally adjusted output in manufacturing (C) decreased by 0.4 per cent from the month before.
Industrial output decreased in July from the previous month in nearly all main industries examined in the chart. The decline was sharpest in mining and quarrying, where output was 8.0 per cent lower than in June. Output in the forest industry was 1.2 per cent lower than in June. Output decreased from the previous month also in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (-0.7%), the electrical and electronics industry (-0.7%) and the metal industry (-0.7%). Output in the chemical industry was 0.4 per cent lower than in June. Output was slightly higher than in June only in the food industry (1.5%).
