Characteristics of job vacancies
In the last quarter of 2025, altogether 17,400 or 77 per cent of the job vacancies were in establishments owned by private enterprises. The number of job vacancies decreased compared to one year ago especially in establishments owned by private enterprises (-6,200).
The biggest regional change was the decrease in the number of job vacancies in the major region of Western Finland (-4,500). Examined by the industry of the establishment, the biggest change was the decrease in job vacancies (-4,000) in the industry group of professional, scientific and technical activities, and administrative and support service activities (M, N). The change in the number of job vacancies (-5,200) was biggest in establishments with 1 to 4 employees.

In the last quarter, 30 per cent of all job vacancies were fixed-term, which is almost the same as one year earlier. The share of part-time jobs in all job vacancies was 16 per cent, which is lower than in the previous year (21%). Employers estimated that 38 per cent of the job vacancies were hard-to-fill, which is two percentage points lower than in the previous year (40%).
