Purchase prices of the means of agricultural production rose by 0.1 per cent in the last quarter of 2025 year-on-year
releaseAccording to Statistics Finland, the purchase prices of the means of agricultural production rose by an average of 0.1 per cent in the last quarter of 2025 compared with the previous year’s corresponding period. Agricultural production commodities and services cost 0.8 per cent less and investments 1.7 per cent more compared to the previous year.

- The slight increase in the index of purchase prices of the means of agricultural production was mainly influenced by the fact that prices of fertilizers in the last quarter 2025 were 9.5 per cent higher year-on-year.The slight increase in the index of purchase prices of the means of agricultural production was curbed especially by a 6.4 per cent decrease in animal feedingstuff prices in the fourth quarter between 2024 and 2025.The prices of energy purchased for agriculture fell by an average of 5.4 per cent in the last quarter of 2025 from the previous year.
- The increase in agricultural investment prices was mainly influenced by 1.7 per cent higher prices of farm buildings and on average 2.9 per cent more expensive transport equipment in the fourth quarter 2025 year-on-year.
