Producer prices of agricultural products grew by 3.4 per cent in the first quarter 2026 year-on-year
releaseAccording to Statistics Finland, the annual change in the index of producer prices of agricultural products was 3.4 per cent in the first quarter 2026 year-on-year. The producer prices of plant products went down by 5.6 per cent, while meat and animal products rose by 8.7 per cent year-on-year. Compared to the previous quarter, producer prices of agricultural products rose by 2.2 per cent.

- The increase in the index of producer prices of agricultural products was curbed especially by the fact that producer prices of cereals fell by 12.5 per cent in the first quarter 2026 year-on-year.
- Producers were paid 3.5 per cent less for pork and 2.6 per cent less for poultry meat in the first quarter 2026 year-on-year.
