Number of nights spent at accommodation establishments decreased by 3 per cent in May 2026 from the previous year

According to Statistics Finland's preliminary data, 1.55 million overnight stays were recorded at accommodation establishments in May 2026. The number of nights spent by resident tourists was 1.14 million and that of nights spent by non-resident tourists 0.41 million. The total number of overnight stays decreased by three per cent from the year before.

  • The occupancy rate of hotel rooms was 52 per cent and the average price of a hotel room was EUR 116. The average price of a hotel room was highest in Uusimaa, EUR 123.
