Turnover in service industries grew by 4.6 per cent in June 2026

All main service industries growing

In June 2026, growth in service industries was strongest in transportation and storage, where working day adjusted turnover went up by 8.4 per cent from June 2025. The growth in turnover in the industry is due to a rise in prices in the industry. The industry’s volume went up by only 0.8 per cent in the corresponding period. In arts, entertainment and recreation, working day adjusted turnover grew by 5.8 per cent from June 2025. Over the same period, working day adjusted turnover in administrative and support service activities increased by 5.3 per cent and volume by 1.7 per cent from the year before.

In June 2026, working day adjusted turnover in information and communication went up by 4.4 per cent and volume by 1.6 per cent from the previous year. Working day adjusted turnover in professional, scientific and technical activities increased by 3.7 per cent and volume by 2.8 per cent in June 2026. Working day adjusted turnover in other service activities went up by 3.1 per cent from June 2025.

In June 2026, working day adjusted turnover in accommodation and food service activities grew by 2.4 per cent and volume by 1.1 per cent from June 2025. Working day adjusted turnover and volume in real estate activities rose by 2.2 per cent from June 2025.

Turnover and volume falling from the previous month

Seasonally adjusted turnover in service industries declined in June 2026 by 0.4 per cent compared to May. Service output or volume, from which the impact of prices has been eliminated, decreased by 0.6 per cent over the same period. In May 2026, turnover rose by 0.4 per cent from April while the volume remained on level with April.
