Turnover in service industries grew by 5.7 per cent in July 2026
releaseAccording to Statistics Finland, working day adjusted turnover in service industries grew by 5.7 per cent in July 2026 from July 2025. Service output or volume, from which the impact of prices has been eliminated, grew by 2.3 per cent over the same period. In June 2026, turnover grew of 4.4 per cent and volume correspondingly rose by 1.0 per cent. Services are here examined exclusive of trade.

Turnover growing in main service industries
In July 2026, growth in service industries was strongest in transportation and storage, where working day adjusted turnover went up by 10.3 per cent from July 2025. The growth in turnover in the industry is due to risen prices in the industry. The volume of the industry went up by only 0.9 per cent in the corresponding period.
In July 2026, working day adjusted turnover in administrative and support service activities increased by 5.8 per cent and volume by 2.5 per cent. Over the same period, working day adjusted turnover in professional, scientific and technical activities increased by 5.0 per cent and volume by 3.2 per cent. Turnover in information and communication went up by 4.9 per cent and volume by 3.0 per cent from July 2025.
Working day adjusted turnover in other service activities went up by 3.6 per cent in July 2026. Correspondingly, working day adjusted turnover in real estate activities grew by 2.7 per cent and volume by 2.4 per cent. In arts, entertainment and recreation, working day adjusted turnover grew by 2.4 per cent from one year earlier. Working day adjusted turnover in accommodation and food service activities grew by 1.3 per cent in July 2026, while the volume of the industry went down by 0.7 per cent.
Turnover and volume growing from the previous month
Seasonally adjusted turnover in service industries rose by 0.7 per cent in July 2026 compared to June. Service output or volume, from which the impact of prices has been eliminated, went up by 0.6 per cent over the same period. In June 2026, turnover fell by 0.5 per cent and volume by 0.8 per cent from May.
