Number of students at universities of applied sciences increased further in 2025

According to Statistics Finland, the number of students in university of applied sciences education continued to grow in 2025. The number of students attending university of applied sciences education leading to a degree was 183,200, of whom 57,600 were new students. A total of 36,300 degrees were completed. The number of students grew by four per cent, that of new students by six per cent and that of attainers of degrees by seven per cent compared to the previous year.
