Students in general upper secondary education numbered 114,700 in 2025
releaseAccording to Statistics Finland, a total of 114,700 students attended general upper secondary education leading to a qualification in 2025. A total of 31,800 matriculation examinations were completed, which is 1,000 more than in the previous year.

- Fifty-eight per cent of students in general upper secondary education and 57 per cent of passers of the matriculation examination were women.
