Environmental protection expenditure made an upturn again in 2024

According to Statistics Finland, environmental protection expenditure grew somewhat in 2024 and totalled EUR 5.5 billion. Environmental protection expenditure went up by 2.4 per cent from the previous year. Both the use of environmental protection services and investments in environmental protection increased. The biggest change concerned the category of waste management expenditure.
