According to Statistics Finland, the official total population of Finland was 5,652,881 at the end of 2025. In the course of 2025, Finland’s population grew by 16,910 persons. Population growth was almost one-half lower than in the year before. In 2023 and 2024, Finland's population grew strongly especially because of immigration by Ukrainian citizens.
