Congenital malformations

The statistics contains information on malformations detected in children born alive or dead and in foetuses in abortions induced on the basis of congenital malformations. The information is collected from hospitals, laboratories, the National Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health Valvira, Statistics Finland and THL's other register data.

These statistics are produced by Finnish institute for health and welfare.
