Data:	Latest release: Background analysis of candidates and elected councillors in County elections 2022 16 Feb 2022 A total of 1,379 county councillors were elected from among 10,584 candidates in the County elections. The Coalition Party was the largest party in the County elections with 21.6 per cent of all votes cast and the Centre Party received the most seats in the county councils, 297 (21.5%) The Coalition Party gained 289 seats (21.0%) and the Social Democratic Party 277 seats (20.1%).
Description:	County elections are held every four years. Statistics Finland produces official statistics from the elections. The preliminary statistics are published as soon as possible starting from the election night. The second data, or the final data are supplied to Statistics Finland after the election result is confirmed. After the confirmation of the election result, the confirmed data corresponding to the preliminary statistics are released on the statistics pages and the StatFin databases are updated.
