Turnover in service industries grew by 1.3 per cent year-on-year in May to July
Turnover in service industries grew by 1.3 per cent in May to July from the corresponding time period of the year before. One year previously, turnover in service industries grew by 3.9 per cent. Services are here examined exclusive of trade.
Three months' year-on-year change in turnover in services (TOL 2008)
In May to July, turnover developed more slowly than in the corresponding period of last year in nearly all main service industries. Compared with the year before, turnover rose faster only in information and communications, which went up by 2.8 per cent from the respective period of the previous year. In the May to July period, turnover grew fastest in real estate activities, which increased by 5.3 per cent from the corresponding period of the year before. The development was weakest in administrative and support service activities and in transportation and storage enterprises, in both of which turnover decreased by 1.2 per cent compared with one year earlier.
