Turnover in service industries grew by 1.3 per cent year-on-year in November to January

According to Statistics Finland, turnover in service industries grew by 1.3 per cent in November to January from the corresponding time period of the year before. One year previously, turnover in service industries grew by 2.2 per cent in the corresponding period. Services are here examined exclusive of trade.

In November to January, turnover grew fastest in arts, entertainment and recreation and in information and communication activities. Turnover in arts, entertainment and recreation activities grew by 6.4 per cent and in information and communication services by 3.5 per cent year-on-year. Turnover growth in professional, scientific and technical activities also amounted to nearly three per cent.

Turnover development was negative in transport and storage activities, where it decreased by 1.4 per cent from one year ago. Turnover also contracted by one per cent from the corresponding period last year in administrative and support service activities.
