Turnover in service industries grew by 1.4 per cent year-on-year in March to May
According to Statistics Finland, turnover in service industries grew by 1.4 per cent in March to May from the corresponding time period of the year before. One year previously, turnover in service industries grew by 1.1 per cent in the corresponding period. Services are here examined exclusive of trade.
Three months' year-on-year change in turnover in services (TOL 2008)
In the March to May period, turnover growth was fastest in
information and communication activities and in arts, entertainment
and recreation. Turnover in information and communication
activities grew by 6.1 per cent and in arts, entertainment and
recreation by 5.0 per cent year-on-year. Turnover growth in real
estate activities amounted to 3.0 per cent.
Turnover development was negative in transport and storage
activities, where it decreased by 2.2 per cent from one year ago.
Turnover in other service activities contracted by 0.4 per cent
from the corresponding period last year.
