Turnover in service industries grew by 3.5 per cent year-on-year in June to August
According to Statistics Finland, turnover in service industries grew by 3.5 per cent in June to August from the corresponding time period of the year before. In the same period one year earlier, turnover rose by 0.2 per cent year-on-year. Services are here examined exclusive of trade.

During the review period, turnover in the main service
industries still grew fastest in information and communication,
where growth compared to the corresponding period of the previous
year amounted to 10.6 per cent. Of the sub-industries of
information and communication, computer programming, consultancy
and related activities increased fastest, by 22.6 per cent from one
year before. Among the sub-industries, information service
activities have been growing strongly in June to August, up by 14.6
per cent.
Among the main service industries, growth was also fast in real
estate activities, where turnover rose by 5.7 per cent from June to
August 2013. Enterprises in the industry of arts, entertainment and
recreation went up by 5.0 per cent. Administrative and support
service activities increased by 3.4 per cent from the previous
year's June to August period.
The development of turnover was still weakest in transportation and storage enterprises, where the decline from the corresponding period in 2013 amounted to 0.6 per cent.
