Building costs rose by 2.0 per cent in September

Building costs were 2.0 per cent higher in September 2010 than in September 2009. Labour costs in construction rose by 0.2 per cent and prices of materials by 3.6 per cent in the year. Those of other inputs were nearly the same as in September 2009. This is indicated by the Building Cost Index of Statistics Finland.

From August to September, the total index of building costs rose by 0.1 per cent. The prices for labour rose by 0.2 per cent, the prices of materials and the prices for those of other inputs rose by 0.1 per cent .
