Building costs rose by 4.1 per cent in June

Building costs were 4.1 per cent higher in June 2011 than in June 2010. Labour costs in construction rose by 2.4 per cent and prices of materials by 4.6 per cent in the year. Those of other inputs rose by 5.9 per cent. This is indicated by the Building Cost Index of Statistics Finland.

Building cost index 2005=100

From May to June, the total index rose by 0.2 per cent. The prices for labour and the prices for those of other inputs were unchanged. Prices of materials rose by 0.3 per cent.
