Building costs rose by 2.8 per cent in January
Building costs were 2.8 per cent higher in January 2012 than in January 2011. Labour costs in construction rose by 2.1 per cent, prices of materials by 2.6 per cent and prices of other inputs by 5.1 per cent per year. This is indicated by the Building Cost Index of Statistics Finland 2010=100.

From December to January the total index rose by 0.4 per cent. The prices for labour rose by 0.4 per cent and the prices of materials by 0.4 per cent. The prices of other inputs fell by 0.1 per cent.
