Building costs grew by 1.8 per cent year-on-year in January

Building costs were 1.8 per cent higher in January 2013 than in January 2012. The prices of labour inputs in construction went up by one per cent, the prices of materials by 1.8 per cent and those of other inputs by 4.0 per cent from one year ago. This is indicated by Statistics Finland's Building Cost Index 2010=100.

From December to January, the total index of building costs rose by 0.3 per cent. The prices of labour rose by 0.2 per cent, the prices of materials by 0.4 per cent and those of other inputs by 0.6 per cent.
